Broad Bean Flowers ‘Bunyards Exhibition’

Broad Beans are a popular annual vegetable plant.  They are extremely easy to grow, hardy plants which may be sown in autumn or spring.  The plants are most commonly grown for their beans, but broad bean flowers are also quite delicious.  The black and white flowers are sweet, slightly nutty with a fresh bean taste.  ‘Bunyards Exhibition’ is a tall variety, sown in spring, which will produce between 6 and 8 beans from each long pods as well as the edible flowers.  The flowers may be enjoyed in a wide-variety of salads and other savoury dishes, and make attractive and tasty garnishes.
