Sweet Rocket

Sweet Rocket is an easy-to-grow hardy biennial/short-lived perennial with multiple, tall upright stems on which grow numerous flowers which can range from pale lilac to darker purple. Large leaves grow in a thick mound in the first year, whilst in the second year, tall hairy stems grow with flowers at the top. As a member of the mustard family the flowers have a peppery taste. Sweet rocket has a lovely sweet fragrance which is particularly noticeable in the evening.  Great for savoury cooking, rice dishes, salads and sandwiches.
